Install a Slip Yoke Eliminator in a Jeep Wrangler YJ NP231J
Installing a Slip Yoke Eliminator or otherwise known as an SYE is the one best thing you can do to eliminate driveshaft vibrations on a lifted Jeep. When the short wheel-
base Jeep Wrangler is lifted past a certain point, it puts the driveshaft at a very steep angle. Therefore causing U-Joint binding which causes driveshaft vibrations.
Having excessive vibrations will lead to rapid parts to wear. Parts such as the U-Joints, Transfer case output shaft seal and the differential pinion seal will deteriorate quickly from feeling like they are in a paint shaker!
These parts wearing out quickly will lead to leaks and possibly being left stranded on a trail or on side of the road from breaking a U-Joint.
Here in this video, I demonstrate how to change install the SYE with the transfer case still in the Jeep. To me, it was actually easier to install it like this instead of dropping the transfer case and then having to lift and reinstall the t-case.
