Change the Fuel Filter in the Jeep YJ
My Jeep YJ wasn’t giving any issues like it was needing a fuel filter. It had been a long time since it had been changed so I was changing it as a preventive measure. Ya know, change it before it starts giving me issues.
Fuel filters are very inexpensive for the Jeep so there was really no reason not to change it while I was doing other preventive maintenance to it.
Its really simple as well. You have one 10mm screw that holds the strap and two fuel hoses. Super easy!
Symptoms of a dirty fuel filter can be running rough at slow or faster speeds. In extreme cases rough idling. Its because the engine isn’t getting enough fuel to perform as it should. All the debris inside the filter element restricts the fuel flow.
