Install LEDs in the dash of a Jeep TJ
Installing LEDs in the dash of a Jeep Wrangler TJ isn’t hard at all. Its just a bunch of screws to get the dash cluster out. Once you get them installed you will be amazed how much better you can see the gauges at night.
Besides better clarity, there is another perk. You can purchase LEDs in many different colors so you can customize your interior as well. Your Jeep Red? Get some Red LEDs to match your paint. Or pick Purple, Green or White .. You get the point. You have choices besides the plain old boring dimly lit incandescence bulbs.
One thing that is worth mentioning. Most all LED bulbs are polarity sensitive. Meaning, there is a right and wrong way to install them. They will plug in either way but one way they will light up .. the other way they will not. But dont worry, if you plug one in the wrong way it will not damage the bulb or your Jeep. Just pull the bulb out and rotate it 180 degrees and plug it back in. So, I suggest getting all the bulbs in and turn on your lights before reassembling your dash. May save yourself some time.
