CJ7 Doors will fit a YJ
Will Jeep Wrangler CJ doors fit on a YJ? That is a very common question in the Jeep Wrangler community. Short answer is yes. But as long as it is the correct model CJ. First, The doors have to be from a Wrangler CJ7. Second, the doors have to be from a late model CJ7 that has the correct striker/latch setup. If you happen to have the early model CJ7 doors that have the older striker system, you will need to remove the YJ body striker and install the CJ body striker.
In this video I will demonstrate how to install late model CJ7 doors on a YJ. Have the later model doors means I already had the correct door striker. So all I had to do is install and align the doors to the body. It really isn’t a hard job per say. But it is a tab bit of a pain by yourself! So if you got someone to help you .. do it! I’m flying solo on this install.
